Choose Thello and you will get a good night’s sleep as you travel all the way from Paris to Italy by train. They’ll leave Paris just after dinner and arrive in Venice just after breakfast.

The Thello trains are practical and comfortable. There is a choice of single, double or triple occupancy sleeper couchettes as well as 4 and 6-berth couchettes.

All are air-conditioned and each passenger is given a complimentary bottle of water on boarding.

Onboard, you will have a choice of overnight accommodation:

SLEEPER: The sleeper couchettes are ideal for couples or if customers prefer a little privacy.

There’s a choice of 1, 2 or 3-berth sleepers. If customers are travelling as a couple opt for the 2-berth.

If they are travelling alone and like their privacy a single sleeper cabin will be the best option.

All sleeper cabins feature a washbasin, bedding and towel, complimentary travel kit and a bottle of water.

Customers will also enjoy a welcome drink and a complimentary breakfast in the on-board restaurant.

COUCHETTES: If you are looking to save money or like the adventure of meeting new people then the couchette option would be more suitable.

There’s the choice of 4 or 6-berth couchettes, all are fully air-conditioned and come with bedding and a complimentary bottle of water.

Women only couchettes can be requested but these are subject to availability.

The washbasin for the couchettes is located at the end of each carriage.

Thello services are completely non-smoking.

Journey times are approximate and may vary. Please check all train times when you book. Prices are per person based on the cheapest available return adult standard class fare.

Train composition: Ranging from 2 to 4 sleeper carriages and 6 to 10 couchette carriages per train, depending on time of year.

Accommodation: Single, double and triple sleepers. 4 & 6-berth couchettes.

Sleepers:

• Single, double & triple sleepers with washbasin. Bedding and towels are provided.
• Complimentary travel kit with toiletries and a bottle of mineral water.
• Complimentary breakfast served in the restaurant carriage.
• Possibility of reserving single-sex compartments.

4-berth couchette:

• Four-berth couchettes. Bedding provided
• Complimentary slippers and a bottle of mineral water for each passenger.
• Washbasin and WC are located at the end of each carriage.
• 4-berth compartments are mixed.

6-berth couchette:

• Six berth couchettes. Bedding provided.
• Complimentary bottle of mineral water for each passenger.
• Washbasin and WC are located at the end of each carriage
• All 6-berth couchettes are mixed.

Passport controls: Thello services run through Switzerland. Therefore passport and VISA checks will be carried out on board.

Catering:

• Restaurant - serving hot and cold French and Italian dishes. A variety of wine is also on offer. Breakfast is served in the morning in the restaurant car.
• Bar Buffet - serving a range of sandwiches, salads, soups, snacks and hot and cold drinks.
• Trolley service - serving sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and pastries.

Disabled Facilities: No disabled facilities available. However, foldable wheelchairs are accepted on board. Disabled passengers with a wheelchair are advised to travel in sleeper compartments as they are more spacious.

Smoking: Trains are entirely non-smoking.

Luggage: 2 bags/suitcases per passenger plus 1 piece of hand luggage.

Bicycles: Bicycles are not permitted on Thello services.

Domestic Animals: Domestic animals in a pet carrier are permitted onboard provided other passengers do not object.

Only small domestic animals permitted, who must be carried in a pet carrier (with dimensions no greater than 50x30x25cm and no heavier than 5kg).

It is free of charge to take a pet carrier onboard.

Guide dogs travel for free and do not require a ticket.

Toilets: Toilets are located at the end of each carriage. All trains have both ladies and gentlemen's toilets.

Station services: Dedicated Thello ticket counter and information desk at Paris Gare de Lyon station, located close to the Thello departure/arrival platform.
