Between September 2021 and November 2022, all of the two-car Class 170s transferred to East Midlands Railway. In May 2023, Transport for Wales withdrew all of its Class 769 from service after being replaced by Class 231 units. In June 2023, the first of the Class 175s were withdrawn from service after being replaced by Class 197 units.
